I was born in Bombay in 1989, but I never stayed in on place for long. I'm not sure what happened in my first three years, except for a vivid recollection of Silver Surfer and watching my tricycle getting stolen. I feel quite privileged to have spent a couple of years in Hong Kong (1992-1996) and Kobe, Japan (1998-2000). In 2000, we finally settled down in Hyderabad, India, though I've been living in Chennai for the past 4 years at IIT Madras.

As a kid, I've always been a bit of book-worm, and undeniably a nerd, despite any illusions of it being “cooler' than it sounds. Somewhere along the way, I picked up how to play basketball, and a very odd taste in music. While not possessing any super-powers as such, my enthusiasm in things and soft-mannerisms have in general been appreciated.

I get very worked up about institutional inefficiencies, particularly when they pertain to education. Someday, I imagine that I will apply myself to trying to fix those problems, though at this point I'm not sure how to connect the dots.
